There are a plenty of contrast that could be made between the north & south. 

From it's retail 2 the actual people.

(just a lil' different.)

This massive adjustment has certainly been an eye opener.

We've grown 2 realize that there's life beyond borders & it's

not where you're from but rather where you're @. 
(a famous quote from the days of old).

So as the "Georgia" sun continues 2 shine,  we'll continue 2 make the mark even if it's simply checkin' the mail while laying in the middle of the street.

Taste.

Just thinkin' after watchin' local based channel 9 Chicago news....

Some of my most favorite times in good ole' Chicago was the Taste. 

A time when the fireworks were plenty, the concerts were free & the food was...well, less expensive.

Now here we are @ a time where Chicago's greed & poor local government has destroyed such a rememberable occasion just 2 fill their own pockets. 

Many of my childhood memories stem back 2 Grant Park, the several dozen food vendors & the variation of people from all walks of life....

Now, there's absolutely nothing...Not a dayum thing!!!! 

Oh well, it was good while it lasted. 

Once again, Chicago puts it's people last & themselves first. 

Shame.

There's a whole bunch going on around us these days with absolute craziness. 

People are fighting amongst each other regarding politics, policies, ideas....

Favorite color is blue versus green...

Black & white...

Rich & poor..

Religion...

Democrat, Republican..

North, south...east & west...

Lets be honest folk, there's a vast amount of difference with opinion & that's OK 

for we're entitled 2 such.

It's yours 2 hold.

Whatever the case despite it all, everything is "ALRIGHT".

I suppose it’s easier 2 blame others for your own issue instead of self.

That way, there’s never a need 2 face it.

Since moving 2 the state of Georgia a few months ago, things have slowed down a great deal which has given me the much needed time 2 regroup & gather thoughts. 

Life is so very constant & can be a bit overwhelming leaving
 little time 2 embrace the awesomeness.

In this case, it's the wonderful experiences & memories with the nucleus of family.

It's like reading a book... 

If you're 2 busy tryin' 2 get through it, you tend 2 lose the enjoyment and most important principles. 

That's why it's so important 2 gather thoughts & recollect the beauty of it all.

It's as simple as a trip 2 the local mall for a shoppin' spree for son Khalid's 11th birthday.

Once again, with photography & some cool video, memories become so much more. 

Something that'll never go away.

So why go for just a lil' bit when you can actually have it "ALL"?

Different.

Lookin' back over the years I've dealt with the insecurities of self. 

Runnin' from the sun & repeatedly boxin' my very own shadows. 

At times I've wondered... "Dayum!...What was I really thinkin'?"

Despite the overly inflated & petty cosmetic issues of teeth, smile, hair, etc,

I've come 2 realize that's who I am 

& there's no other me.

Uniquely & specially made from head 2 toe....Yes!!!

Someday we'll eventually grow old 

& still I'll be beautiful.

With no further need 2 hide my head in a paper bag, 

now you can really see me.
