People have shared horrid stories about the trails & tribulations of raising a 16 year old  
but thus far on this end, I'm set...

(So I like 2 think.)

I can remember when I was 16 when everything was confusing but still I believed I knew it all. 
Poor choices were made & petty matters were more difficult than they had 2 be...
so looking at it from that perspective, yeah, we're good.

I know young people need 2 have a personal choice for empowerment 
but remember I'll always be dad.Readily available 2 teach you about the things you're not so sure about even if I don't even know myself,  protect you from the ills of this increasingly nasty world & just be THERE.

It's getting stranger by the minute & a whole lot going on in theses times so 

it's best 2 be that way.

Weathered.

I used 2 often lay awake @ night tryin' 
2 tame this weary mind.

Thinkin' just way, way 2 much 

I found self tradin' love for indifference...
(that's another story for a later date).

Maybe I was just 2 hard on myself always 
looking' & wantin' more
... unable 2 accept the life that's mine. 

Living simple was my desperate cry while feeling rusted & weathered
 - barely holdin' it all together.

Just had keep remindin' self that it all gets better in time.

Psycho.

There's a very fine line between 
what's considered sane & the insane.

It only takes a moment 2 cross that dreadful line 

where everything just goes black....

For many, they never return from the land of the "Psycho".

That's exactly why it requires responsibility 2 

 keep thoughts where they outta be.

There's a battle of the minds people 

& not everyone wins.

It only happens every blue moon nowadays which is why making an open invitation for a Rogers Park drop by was in store.

It's great 2 see how someone you know all your life can be such a marvelous joy simply by their presence alone.

Family is something I've recently learned not 2 take for granted & 2 appreciate 
each & every moment.

That's something I've vowed 2 live by from this point on so now I embrace.

That's the key.

off 2 church for some worship & H.S 
(that's holy spirit for short...he, he, he.) 

Witnessing prayer on a level such as this allows me 
2 re-evaluate my personal position.

While there, myself along with John 
& Danielle was finally baptized in a lake.

Now that was surely something of the totally unexpected 

but then again, I'll take it.

The team was supportive & made me feel so much more at ease during this life changing process. 

God is a great God that's for sure;)

On my end, I've learned over the years

2 close my mouth, let it be & see where it goes.

Things seems 2 end up so much easier that way.

It's cool 2 see how despite circumstance or action 

great people are able 2 find some sort of 

common space & appreciate the difference. 

Sometimes I have 2 remind self of where we're 

from & how we ended up where we are. 

Strangely, it often resembles some sorta neurotic, romantic, hippy love sitcom or something. 

It's truly such an interesting story.
