Been looking online for some Portland culture 

& come across a quaint vintage community called 

Munjoy Hill. 

Once known as "The Cool on the Hill" it had me 

antsy 2 take a quick trip & stand in the experience.

Now where's my money shot....

Walking through the streets of Portland you're bound 2 find something that'll make you say hmmm....

Found a snazzy, kinda old school, 

vintage spot called Electric Buddhas. 

Remember the Atari 2600...yep, he has it...

with the official games!;)

(I've always been a kid at heart so no shame here.)

Being a 70's baby, I could certainly appreciate an official vinyl Spinners album...

"Could it be I'm falling' in love....Ohhhh..."

While out & about, ran into my man Victor 

who vouched 2 assist in this whole creativity thing. 

Good thing I brought along my trusty Canon 

for a little "documentation" on the moment.

Everything from the old seemed so 

much more colorful. 

People actually put serious time 

into creating stuff.

(Now that's something 2 embrace & appreciate.)

So if you're ever in the city of Portland, 

go pay my man a visit 

& experience the nostalgia for yourself... 

..just maybe we'll cross paths...

I couldn't ask for anything more 
in regards 2 son Khalid. 
People have shared horrid stories about the trails & tribulations of raising a 16 year old  
but thus far on this end, I'm set...

(So I like 2 think.)

I can remember when I was 16 when everything was confusing but still I believed I knew it all. 
Poor choices were made & petty matters were more difficult than they had 2 be...
so looking at it from that perspective, yeah, we're good.

I know young people need 2 have a personal choice for empowerment 
but remember I'll always be dad.Readily available 2 teach you about the things you're not so sure about even if I don't even know myself,  protect you from the ills of this increasingly nasty world & just be THERE.

It's getting stranger by the minute & a whole lot going on in theses times so 

it's best 2 be that way.

Lets say farewell 2 Tammy's old ride Betsy. 
yes, she had a name;)

The infamous black Nissan been around the 
block a billion times & has been such a reliable 
resource during the wild escapades in Chicago...
or how about that whacky transition 2 Georgia! 

There were definitely times when you were 
rewarded with the ultimate gas for getting us 

through the most unwelcoming of places. 

(clear throat...the south.)

Then there was even the time when we came 

about our wits & headed back up north 2 New England.

Something we like 2 call "13 states in 22 hours".

Well it's about that time for something new. 

Maybe something a bit more roomy, 

even some cool bells & whistles will do some justice. 

You can never go wrong with that.

Something tells me that this process is 
gonna be one indecision & uncertainty. 
Like mama always say, just go with it man.

So lets head on over 2 the local car spot & start 

the lookin' despite the recent 6 inches of fresh 

snow that just dumped on Portland....again....
(Sheesh!....this should be fun.)
