Light.

Whew!
Finally got sorta a grip on the newest of situations.
It's not everyday that you make such huge life changing decisions where what lies ahead is uncertainty.

I have 2 admit that this is pretty exciting though...
Rebuilding from the ground up & starting with a
fresh clean start....again.
lol
Yep!

After lookin' @ everything with wide angled lenses,
I've come 2 realize that fear could be your very worst enemy.
Is it fear of rejection?
Ridicule?
or maybe just scared?...
Oh that would be fear....
(lol)

Whatever the case,
it's certainly worth the risk.

Personally, this past week has been mighty challenging
while facing & conquering fears I never thought I could.
Now that I have, surprisingly I want more cause being
told "no" isn't as bad as it seems.

It's similar 2 that "Rocky" character where all seems lost but with a tad bit of courage,
all is well....
Ok, ok...enough of the sappiness.

Been here in P-town
(that's my little twist for Portland),
for nearly 3 weeks & after a few spins around town, I've come 2 realize that this is
certainly an artist hub.

Now mind you, I've never really associated Portland as being part of the creative scene -
(but boy was I wrong.)

Guess there's room for another
brand in town.....
(**clear throat)
...that'll be us if you're wondering.

Seems like we're traveling aimlessly in the twilight zone....
especially since just leaving those
backwoods of Georgia....
(Uggghh!)

Now it 's time 2 move forward & look @ all this in a
much different "LIGHT".
Oh yeah....

Peace!...with 2 fingers;)

Logo.

Thought it'll be a great idea 2 switch it all up a bit with a brand new approach.
Moving 2 Portland, Maine with a whole new scene, people & idea,
what a better way 2 start with a logo.
Oh yeah!...

A new signature that moves the brand & makes it all come 2 life.
A unique symbol of visual manifestation.

Memorable, quick & clear.
Working together, independently or in different combinations up close & from a distance.

This is gonna be interesting 2 say the very least....
so when you see this logo,
now you know who we are.
Ok...let's go!

Me. Eats #2 - Happy Gardens Chinese

Out & about once again for some sit in @ another random spot.
So what's on todays palette?
Hmmm..lets see..

Chinese again?
Yep!...This time we find ourselves in something happy...
That'll be "Happy Gardens Chinese"

You know we just had 2 drop by a place that had the word "Happy" in it.
Ok then...the experience....

For starters, they really needed 2 space the chair/ table ratio for a 6"4, 250 plus guy.
It can get really tight...lol.

After not eaten since the previous night,
we could've literally eaten a horse
by now....forreal!

I ordered something called Triple Delight which had the old school, true deal going on.
(May have had a little bit extra onion but still good 2 go.)

Many spots nowadays don't put their backs into it like before...
especially down there in the south.
That's why this was a real sweet treat...Oh yes!

Can't believe it's been nearly a year (since the Chicago days) that I even smelled anything as real.
Anyways, Tammy went for the General T'so Chicken
(not spicy of course)
which she called
tangy & succulent.
lol...really though?
(Thought that was only in commercials.)

...along with chicken & beef teriaki....
so tender that it laid helplessly on the stick...
Oh yeah, can't forget the duck sauce that Lady Tammy claims would "Quack" you up...lmao..

Seriously?

Anyhoot, there were very few words exchanged across the table for a period of time cause we both were busy
stuffin' our pretty faces....
Yep!

Sure was.

So outta 5 fingers, guess we gotta give it a 4.

Peace!...with 2 fingers;)

Another Whimsical Moment.

Wheeeew....
We've been here in South Portland, Maine for nearly
2 weeks now & just finally gathered the chance 2
regain our scruples.

Making such a spontaneous life transition could appear scary
but we've certainly seem 2 have taken it
all in stride...
(thus far).
You see...
Most people dare not leave the comfort zone
for the dreaded feeling of vulnerability
but then again
we're not most people....

It's a bit daring doing what we do but that's
what it's all about.

You know....
that whimsical moment of uncertainty where life just takes you wherever.
 Isn't it great! ;)

Thank goodness healthy attitudes (well...kinda sorta)
have been able 2 place us mostly on the winning side.

Knowing nothing is never perfect,
it's just the way we like it
for imperfections are real.

As for the uncertainty that lays ahead,
it's mostly one of life's adventures
for me coming from the Chicago midwest & all.
(like really?....lol)

As for Lady Tammy,
after making the crazed move
2 my hometown Chicago in 2009
& the horrid Georgia excursion
in 2012,
this is originally her home for over the last 20 years
which is where she truly belongs....
period!

So if you've ever been a non-believer
that life happens in cycles from
one end & back again
....then just maybe you outta think twice.

Yep!...until next time.

22 Hours & 15 States.

After nearly an entire year in the backwoods of Sharpsburg, Georgia, finally we decided 2 head back across the Dixie Line 2
Tammy's original spot - Portland, Maine.

On the way, we were faced with that grueling 22 hour, 15 state excursion which left us in complete awe & exhaustion.
So with roof bag in tow, Slappy
(our little tabby in which we lost on day 1)
& trusty Canon, off we went on another one of those crazed Weddington Adventures.

Carolinas
(nothing special...)
Virginia
(pretty clean place...)
Rhode Island
...(blah, blah, blah..)
District of Columbia
(wanted 2 stop by the White House but made a wrong turn.
Oh well, maybe next time.)
Maryland...
(Had a cool time with the employees @ Dunkin Donuts...thanks)
Pennsylvania...
(I'm diggin' Philly & the incredible architecture but dayum! I really thought that LOVE sign was much bigger...lol. Either case, we had a ball!!)
New Jersey
...(Nothing much 2 write home about.)
New York
...(Lots of tolls & just way 2 many people...If you're gonna charge $13.00 then at least
fix your streets...)

Anyway, you get the point.

Uncertain of what's around the corner @ our final destination of Portland, Maine, there's no doubt that whatever it is,
it'll definitely be well worth the trip....yep!!!
Well...until then...

Peace!...with 2 fingers;)

Mission Accomplished!

Finally made it 2 Portland, Me. after that amazing 22 hour ride & just had 2 take a capture of this colorful piece.

It's been nearly 4 years since first taking a glimpse & vowed
2 eventually get that ultimate shot.
Well...BAMM!!!...here it is.

Guess it's just the artist in me.

You see...once you set your mind 2 something, nothing stops you until it's mission accomplished....
even something as simple as a picture....

Yep!

Peace!...with 2 fingers;)
